Tuyen Quang innovates the content and form of patriotic emulation movements

On September 9, Tuyen Quang province held the first Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025-2030 period. Attending the event were comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee.

Opening the congress, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province Phan Huy Ngoc emphasized that the congress was held at a time of special significance, after Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces were merged and the two-level local government apparatus initially began to operate stably, opening a new development stage with many advantages in terms of development space, creating a premise to promote the economy, culture and society.

A typical example is the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025". To implement this movement, from the province to the grassroots level, many practical solutions have been deployed, suitable to practical conditions, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, especially socialized resources to participate in eliminating temporary houses. Thereby, despite being a difficult province, it has soon completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with more than 15 thousand households living in new houses.

Typically, the economy maintained good growth, per capita income increased; transport infrastructure had important developments, the Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho expressway was completed, and the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang expressway (phase 1) was deployed, thereby opening up great opportunities for regional connectivity.

The agricultural, forestry and fishery production sector has developed stably, ensuring food security; the forestry economy has developed rapidly and sustainably, maintaining a forest coverage rate of over 60%; the forest area certified for sustainable forest management has reached a high level, with nearly 90,000 hectares, ranking first in the country.

Tourism has developed strongly, gradually becoming an important economic sector. The province was honored as "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination in 2023" and "Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination in 2024".

In the past 5 years, more than 27 thousand collectives and individuals with achievements in the emulation movements for economic, cultural, social, national security and defense development have been commended by competent authorities.

Compete to build Tuyen Quang into a fairly developed province.

Speaking at the congress, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh congratulated the outstanding achievements in recent years and acknowledged and commended 220 typical and advanced delegates attending the congress.

He emphasized that in the coming time, all levels, sectors and localities need to further promote the patriotic emulation movement, and compete together to achieve the strategic goal, which is: By 2030, Tuyen Quang will become a fairly developed, comprehensive, sustainable province with high average income.

In implementing the emulation movement, the Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee noted that Party committees and authorities need to strengthen the leadership of Party committees and leaders to build a new government apparatus after the merger that is streamlined, effective, efficient, and for the people.

The top priority is to successfully organize the 1st Congress of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and promptly implement the Congress Resolution.

Collectives and individuals received the Government's Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

In addition, continue to promote emulation movements in the fields of culture and society, improve people's lives, the movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas" in a sustainable direction, associated with national target programs.

Emulation work is closely linked to rewards. Rewards must be quick, timely, and for the right people and the right achievements.

At the congress, 86 typical examples in the emulation movements were honored to be awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals; Emulation Flag of the Government and Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister; Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.
