Ba Don Town: Dredging and treating pollution in many central drainage canals in the inner city

(QBĐT) - These days, Ba Don ward (Ba Don town) is focusing on human resources and machinery to dredge mud and waste on many drainage canals in the area.

Accordingly, from August 17, 2024, the People's Committee of Ba Don Ward mobilized human resources and machinery to dredge the canal bed, clear the flow, and limit the situation of long-term stagnant water, causing environmental pollution of many canals in the area, including Phooc bridge canal.

It is known that the actual cost is in the project to renovate, repair, and urgently dredge the canal in Ward 3, Ba Don, with a total investment of 1.1 billion VND.

Previously, on July 8, 2024, Quang Binh Newspaper had a video : The "black" canal, reflecting the environmental pollution of Phooc bridge canal.

However, public opinion and local people hope that in the long term, the authorities at all levels of Ba Don town need to invest in completing and connecting the canal system, in order to clear the flow and regularly drain water for the canals running through the inner city center.

At the same time, Ba Don Town implements the collection and treatment of domestic wastewater from residents, avoiding the phenomenon of wastewater being freely discharged into canals, because this is also one of the reasons leading to pollution of many canals in the town center.

Many canals in the area were also dredged.
