Agree on the plan to merge the Cooperative Union of two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri

Currently, Quang Binh has 526 cooperatives with 143,623 members and 5,876 direct workers, total capital of more than 9,689 billion VND, average income of workers is 4.5 million VND/person.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Cooperative Union has performed well its role as a bridge between the Party, the State and cooperatives; promoted its consulting and supporting functions, helped cooperatives overcome difficulties, and proposed appropriate support policies. The work of developing cooperatives and recruiting members has been focused on, and the training and fostering work has been highly appreciated by cooperatives, with many changes, suitable to the actual situation, meeting the requirements of members.

Carrying out the tasks for the last 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Cooperative Union will focus on the following tasks: Stabilizing the organizational structure and apparatus of departments after merging with provincial administrative units; continuing to coordinate in propagating the Party's guidelines, policies, resolutions, directives, and State laws on collective economy ; continuing to implement the 2025 training and development program.

At the conference, delegates discussed and agreed on the project to establish a new Quang Tri Province Cooperative Union based on the merger of the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri. Specifically, after the merger, it will be called Quang Tri Province Cooperative Union, with its headquarters located at Quang Binh Province Cooperative Union. The post-merger apparatus includes 29 staff members, labor contracts, organized into 4 specialized departments.
