More than 66,390 disadvantaged people received support from Red Cross at all levels.

(QBĐT) - 66,394 disadvantaged people have been supported by Red Cross chapters at all levels in the province. That was the assessment at the 9th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Red Cross Chapter - term VII, term 2021-2026, summarizing the work of the chapter and the Red Cross movement in the first 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the association's work and the Red Cross movement continued to be effectively implemented, closely following the political tasks and plans of the province and localities, in accordance with the needs of beneficiaries, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies.

The association at all levels has promoted activities in many diverse forms and created a continuous and widespread competitive atmosphere, attracting a large number of cadres, members, volunteers and people to participate.

The Provincial Red Cross Executive Committee commended collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing Humanitarian Month 2025.

To date, the province has 192 grassroots associations with 2,098 branches; 109,341 members (an increase of nearly 8,500 members compared to the first 6 months of 2024); 137,991 youth; 2,800 volunteers. Since the beginning of the year, the total value of activities of the Red Cross at all levels in the province has reached more than 40.3 billion VND, supporting 66,394 people in difficult circumstances.

The conference approved the project to merge the Red Cross Societies of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.

Based on the assessment of the achieved results, the conference also discussed and pointed out some limitations, proposed key tasks in the coming time and approved the Project to merge the Quang Binh Provincial Red Cross Society and the Quang Tri Provincial Red Cross Society.

On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Humanitarian Month and the campaign "Million steps of kindness, connecting golden history pages" in 2025 were awarded by the Executive Committee of the Provincial Red Cross Society.
