DNVN - The foreign exchange market on March 14 witnessed the recovery of the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) against the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) at many banks.
At the State Bank, the central exchange rate today was adjusted to 24,779 VND/USD, 21 VND higher than the morning session on March 13. With a fluctuation range of +/-5%, the ceiling exchange rate today reached 26,018 VND/USD, while the floor rate was 23,540 VND/USD. At the State Bank's transaction office, the reference exchange rate was 23,571 - 25,945 VND/USD (buy - sell).
At the commercial banking system at 8:35 a.m., Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 25,330 - 25,690 VND/USD (buy - sell), up 50 VND in both trading directions compared to the morning of March 13. Following the same trend, BIDV also raised the USD exchange rate by 65 VND, to 25,345 - 25,705 VND/USD (buy - sell).
Regarding the CNY exchange rate, Vietcombank announced the rate of 3,466 - 3,578 VND/CNY (buy - sell), up 3 VND and 4 VND respectively compared to yesterday. BIDV also adjusted the rate up, with the buying price up 6 VND and the selling price up 5 VND, trading at 3,486 - 3,581 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
