VND/USD exchange rate at many banks and free market is stable

On May 14, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong (VND) to the US Dollar (USD) at 24,973 VND, unchanged from May 13.

With a trading band of ±5% compared to the central rate, the ceiling rate applied is 26,222 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,724 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam is 23,775 VND/USD for buying and 26,171 VND/USD for selling.

Reference exchange rates between VND and foreign currencies at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department are as follows:

The exchange rate updated at 8:00 a.m. at Vietcombank is 25,750 VND (buy cash), 25,780 VND (buy by transfer) and 26,140 VND (sell), unchanged from the previous trading day.

BIDV Bank also applies the same exchange rate, the only difference is that the price of 25,780 VND is applied to both cash, check and transfer purchases.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate at VietinBank recorded an increase of 148 VND for buying and a slight decrease of 2 VND for selling compared to yesterday. The latest update at 10:00 this morning showed that the buying and selling rates at this bank were 25,778 - 26,138 VND.

In the free market, the USD exchange rate this morning remained unchanged in both directions compared to the trading session on May 13, trading around 26,380 - 26,500 VND/USD.
