The rate of collection and treatment of solid waste in urban and concentrated residential areas reached 88.6%.

Implementing the plan to collect, transport and treat household waste in the period of 2021-2025, up to now, Phu Ninh district has implemented it in 13/17 communes and towns along with agencies, units, enterprises and companies in industrial clusters in the area.

To contribute to collecting recyclable waste and protecting the environment, Phu Ninh District Youth Union organized the program "exchanging scrap for trees" at An Dao Secondary School.

In particular, classifying organic and inorganic waste and collecting points according to routes, streets and areas in Phong Chau town. The amount of waste collected and transported to the province's treatment area is about 18 - 19 tons/day on average, the total volume collected in the year is estimated at 7,070 tons; the rate of collection and treatment of solid waste in urban areas and concentrated residential areas is 88.6%.

In the coming time, Phu Ninh district will continue to promote propaganda and raise people's awareness of environmental protection. Continue to maintain the model of collecting and transporting waste in residential areas. At the same time, coordinate to strengthen inspection, examination and strictly handle violations, contributing to reducing environmental pollution and improving the quality of life.
