(CPV) - Vietnam U17 won 2-0 against Myanmar U17 in the second match of Group I of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship qualifiers.

On the evening of October 25, U17 Vietnam will face U17 Myanmar in the second match of Group I of the 2025 U17 Asian qualifiers.

Determined to get 3 points to keep their hopes of advancing, U17 Vietnam poured their troops into the attack right after the opening whistle. However, U17 Myanmar proactively played a tight defense, maintaining high discipline in the formation. This limited the space for the U17 Vietnam strikers to finish and the ball went inaccurately.

Despite many quality attacks, due to poor ability to take advantage of opportunities, U17 Vietnam could not score against U17 Myanmar. At the end of the first half, the two teams left the field with a score of 0 - 0.

After the break, U17 Vietnam continued to push up their attacking formation, forcing U17 Myanmar to almost only know how to defend. After many missed opportunities, in the 69th minute, U17 Vietnam finally found the goal to break the deadlock thanks to a close-range header by Van Duong.

After conceding the goal, U17 Myanmar suddenly rose up and made the white-shirted defense somewhat confused. But this did not last too long before U17 Vietnam regained the initiative.

In the 89th minute, a mistake by the U17 Myanmar defender created an opportunity for Duy Dang to run down the sideline before crossing the ball into the net for Gia Bao to tap into the empty net, raising the score to 2-0.

In the remaining time, U17 Vietnam tried to push up the attacking formation but could not score any more goals. In the end, U17 Vietnam won 2-0 against U17 Myanmar.

With this result, U17 Vietnam has 4 points after 2 matches and continues to compete for a ticket to the final round with the top team Yemen (who has 6 points). Compared to the remaining second-place teams, coach Cristiano Roland's team's goal difference is quite inferior. If they want to ensure a ticket to the next round, U17 Vietnam must beat U17 Yemen in the final match, taking place on October 27./.
