Ubisoft announces mass layoffs
In a statement, Ubisoft said the decision to cut its workforce was part of a plan to focus on only the company's core businesses. There was no word on how the employees would be compensated for their severance.
The company's layoffs come just months after it revealed it was canceling three games in development. Ubisoft also announced that pirate game Skull and Bones has been delayed again after years of development.
The publisher is also reportedly preparing to reveal plans to launch new games next year or in the long term during the Ubisoft Forward online event to be held in Los Angeles (USA) on June 12.
