"The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has been holding meetings with partners on new air defense systems that can protect people's lives from new threats," he said about the Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic missile that Russia attacked in Dnipro on November 21.

Speaking at a meeting with senior defense officials, leaders of defense enterprises and weapons developers in Moscow on November 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that the Oreshnik missile has been officially put into service with the Russian military and that Moscow will continue testing it, "including in combat environments, depending on the situation and security threats to Russia."
