Rescue of fishing boat with engine failure in rough sea area

On June 11, the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam province quickly reported that fishing boat QNa 92954-TS had engine failure in rough seas.

Accordingly, the QNa 92954-TS ship with a capacity of 715CV, fishing with a cast net and 2 crew members, departed from the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station.

At 9:10 a.m. on June 11, the ship was operating at 15.35 degrees North latitude - 109.24 degrees East longitude, about 40 nautical miles east of An Hoa cape when the engine broke down.

At this time, fishing boat QNa 92032-TS operating nearby approached to tow and assist. In the area where the ship was in distress, there was a force 6 wind and rough sea.

Upon receiving the news, at 9:45 a.m. the same day, the Provincial Border Guard Command dispatched ship BP-43.9801 with 7 officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2 departing from Tam Hiep port (Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province) to support and rescue the distressed fishing boat.

It is expected that ship BP-43.9801 will approach the wrecked ship early this afternoon.
