Continuing the program of the August legal session, on the afternoon of August 12, under the direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on explaining, accepting and revising the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).
Accordingly, the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended) was discussed and commented on by the National Assembly at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly with 78 comments in groups, 32 comments in the Hall and 1 written comment. The majority of comments agreed with the necessity of promulgating the Law and basically agreed with many contents of the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).
Immediately after the 7th Session, the Standing Committee of the Social Affairs Committee chaired and coordinated with the drafting agency, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Standing Committee of the Law Committee and relevant agencies to urgently study and absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies to revise the draft Law; at the same time, requested the drafting agency to explain and express its views on a number of opinions and contents raised by National Assembly deputies at the 7th Session.
The Standing Committee of the Social Committee has received Report No. 84/BC-TLĐ of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on receiving and explaining the discussion opinions of National Assembly deputies on the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).
Through the process of receiving and revising the draft Law based on the opinions of National Assembly deputies, the Standing Committee of the Social Committee said that, up to now, most of the contents of the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended) after revision have reached consensus among the agencies.
