On September 14, the working delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure, visited and presented gifts to a number of units and households affected by storm No. 3 (YAGI) in Quang Yen Town and Ha Long City.
Accompanying the delegation were: Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
In Quang Yen town, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Deputy of the 15th National Assembly, and the working delegation listened to Quang Yen town's report on the damage and the work to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3; visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the military and police forces (Division 395; National Training Center on Anti-Terrorism) participating in supporting the recovery of the consequences of storm No. 3 on Au Rap street, Quang Yen ward, Quang Yen town; visited, encouraged, presented gifts and supported 50 million VND to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, village 16, Hiep Hoa commune, Quang Yen town.
Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group donated 700 million VND to support the Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Yen town to overcome the consequences of the storm.
In Ha Long City, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Deputy of the 15th National Assembly, and the working delegation listened to the Ha Long City Party Committee report on the damage and the work to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3. At the same time, presented 1.3 billion VND to support the recovery of the consequences after the storm to the Ha Long City Fatherland Front Committee. The working delegation also visited, encouraged and presented 50 million VND to support the medical staff at the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital; visited and encouraged workers of Quang Ninh Electricity who are participating in overcoming the incident on line 471 in Ha Tu ward; visited, encouraged and presented 50 million VND to support the family of Mr. Lieu Lu Nam, Lan De village, Vu Oai commune and presented 50 million VND to support the family of Ms. Trieu Thi Thu, Cua Ho hamlet, Da Trang village, Thong Nhat commune.
The delegation also visited, encouraged and presented 50 million VND to teachers and students of Vu Oai Primary and Secondary School, Vu Oai Commune and 50 million VND to Nui Man Primary and Secondary School, Thong Nhat Commune.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Trade Union donated 176 million VND to Vu Oai Primary and Secondary School, Vu Oai Commune and Nui Man Primary and Secondary School, Thong Nhat Commune.
Along with that, at the visiting and encouraging points, comrades: Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also sent their greetings, encouragement and gifts to the localities, the forces on duty, and the families affected by the impact of storm No. 3. At the same time, they expressed their hope that the localities and units would continue to make efforts, unite together, overcome difficulties and quickly restore production, develop the economy, and stabilize life.
At the places visited, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang acknowledged and praised the efforts of Quang Ninh from the province to localities, bases and people in overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 3. He emphasized that Quang Ninh is a locality that has been greatly affected by the storm; the information system, electricity, water, and facilities have been severely damaged, causing damage in many places. However, with solidarity, proactiveness and promoting the spirit of "4 on-site", leaders, cadres, forces and people of Quang Ninh have overcome difficulties, both overcoming the consequences of the storm and restoring production, gradually stabilizing people's lives.
After listening to the report on the damage caused by storm No. 3 in Quang Yen town and Ha Long city, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang encouraged and hoped that the localities would continue to promote their full potential, the solidarity between the government and the people to overcome difficulties together, and soon stabilize life. Medical units, electricity, and schools continued to overcome difficulties, improve their working spirit, and contribute to serving the people and students.
At the same time, he also emphasized that in the coming time, Quang Yen town, Ha Long city in particular and Quang Ninh province in general need to promote the spirit of "Discipline and unity" to continue to overcome difficulties, complete economic development tasks, and stabilize people's lives. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to the work of ensuring dykes, not being subjective, negligent and proactively raising vigilance, responding to climate change as it is now. The authorities and localities of the whole province continue to direct and promote the work of repairing infrastructure, cleaning up, and supporting people affected by storms. He believes that, with proactiveness and solidarity, Quang Ninh will be a bright spot in the work of preventing and fighting natural disasters, storms and floods and quickly recovering to continue carrying out the task of developing the local economy and society.
