VFF directs VPF to ensure referee work in V-League
V-League is entering a fierce competition phase at both ends of the rankings. The championship race is between Nam Dinh FC, Hanoi FC and The Cong Viettel. Meanwhile, the relegation escape is taking place between 8 teams, in which in round 22, the match between Da Nang FC (bottom of the table) and Binh Dinh FC (ranked 13) is a "reverse final" that promises to be extremely hot.
To prepare well for the final matches of the tournament, the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee requested the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to continue to strengthen management and closely monitor the professional performance of the matches; evaluate and forecast the situation of each match, promptly provide written instructions to the tournament participants on the organization, ensuring security, safety and health for the matches according to the regulations of professional football and tournament rules.

VFF directs the Referee Board to work with the highest responsibility in refereeing at matches; appoint referees with the right capacity and suitable to the nature of the match according to the correct procedure.
After each round of matches, it is necessary to seriously learn from the refereeing team's management experience, not to repeat past mistakes; evaluate the level of completion of the tasks of the referees and assistant referees to appoint referees suitable to the professional nature of the final rounds; in case of necessity, coordinate with research and propose inviting international referees in the region to manage important matches, ensuring objectivity and fairness.
Two matches in round 22 announced by the organizers will have the presence of foreign referees: the match between Da Nang and Binh Dinh (6 p.m. on May 10, Tam Ky Stadium) and the match between Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa (6 p.m. on May 11, Thien Truong Stadium) with referees from Thailand and Malaysia.

Specifically, two Malaysian FIFA referees, Tuan Mohd Yaasin and Muhamad Izzul, will officiate the match between Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa (one main referee and one VAR referee). Meanwhile, Thai FIFA referee Wiwat Jumpaoon will officiate the match between Da Nang and Binh Dinh. This is a match of special interest, the "reverse final" of two teams currently at the bottom of the rankings.
Suggest clubs correct their attitudes
VFF also requires strengthening player education on behavior and playing style, awareness of professionalism and responsibility to the public, image and prestige of the tournament, promoting the spirit of honest and noble competition; absolutely respecting and complying with referee decisions, laws, tournament regulations, and complying with speaking regulations according to professional football regulations.
At the same time, VFF hopes that teams will strengthen management, strictly prohibit match-fixing; and are ready to cooperate with VFF, tournament organizers and security agencies to detect and handle negative phenomena. Recently, Phu Tho Club was demoted to third division by FIFA for match-fixing allegations.
"It is necessary to closely coordinate with local authorities, strengthen security and medical measures for matches, away teams and away fans; propagate and educate to raise awareness of fans, resolutely prevent extremist behaviors that cause disorder and behaviors that affect match security and safety," the VFF's notice sent to the teams.
Round 22 of the V-League will take place from May 9 to May 11 with many exciting matches, such as the "reverse final" between Da Nang and Binh Dinh, the epic battle in Pleiku between HAGL and The Cong Viettel, or the top team Nam Dinh competing with Thanh Hoa at Thien Truong Stadium.
