On the evening of November 9, the match between Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) and Thanh Hoa took place in round 11 of V-League 2025-2026. Right after the opening whistle, both teams proactively accelerated and continuously created storms in front of the opponent's goal.

In the 4th minute, Minh Tam accurately shot the ball into Thanh Hoa's net. However, after checking VAR, the referee determined that the HAGL player was in an offside position.
Having escaped defeat, Thanh Hoa immediately responded. However, Van Thuan's shot was blocked by defender Jairo right on the goal line.
Continuing the excitement, the Thanh team attacked more strongly and created many scoring opportunities, but Vo Nguyen Hoang, Rimario and then Van Thuan could not find the goal to break the deadlock.
In the final minutes, the two teams slowed down and many people started to think about a 0-0 draw in the first half. But the surprise happened when Thanh Hoa found a goal to break the deadlock in the 44th minute thanks to midfielder Mbodji.
After the break, HAGL proactively increased their attack speed with the aim of finding an equalizer. However, their haste in finishing caused them to miss many good opportunities.
On the other hand, Thanh Hoa played quite leisurely and waited for their opponents to make mistakes to counterattack. But this way of playing of the Thanh team did not bring about any results.
In the 73rd minute, Marciel made a difficult cross that goalkeeper Xuan Hoang could not catch. Seeing the opportunity, young player Gia Bao swooped in to kick the ball into Thanh Hoa's net. However, after a few minutes of checking VAR, the referee denied the goal of the mountain town team.
Despite having their goal denied, the HAGL players did not lose heart. On the contrary, they attacked even more vigorously. After many efforts, in the 90+10 minute, they equalized 1-1 thanks to Dinh Quang Kiet.
In the remaining time, the two teams did not score any more goals and accepted a 1-1 draw.
