Blatant distortion with dark political intentions
In recent times, in order to sabotage the Vietnamese revolution through " peaceful evolution" and the plot to "depoliticize" the Army, hostile forces have focused on distorting the historical values and fine traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, especially denying the victories of the Army under the leadership of the Party, distorting the Army's loyalty to the Party, the State and the people; distorting the relationship of internal solidarity, military-civilian solidarity, and international solidarity of the Army with extremely reactionary and unscientific words in order to fade the good image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people and international friends, to undermine the people's trust in the Army, and to divide the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Army and the people, between the Army and the Party and the State.
With baseless words, hostile forces fabricate so-called "discussions" on many issues related to the goals, ideals, functions and tasks of our Army. Along with that, hostile forces take advantage of the shortcomings and weaknesses of some cadres and soldiers in their relations with the people, trying to incite and divide the relationship between The army and the people; distorting the noble international proletarian duty of the Vietnam People's Army towards the Lao and Cambodian revolutions during the previous period of national liberation war and war to defend the Fatherland...
Always worthy of being a solid and trustworthy support of the Party, State and people
It can be said that the above arguments are blatant distortions and fabrications, baseless, both illogical and unscientific, because:
Firstly, the birth of the Vietnam People's Army is an inevitable result of the revolutionary line of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh's thought. Built on the basis of the Party's principles of building a new type of army, the Vietnam People's Army has a working class nature, a people's character and a profound national character. It is an army born from the people, fighting for the people. The history of the Vietnamese revolution over the past decades has proven that our Army is not only a reliable and loyal tool and political force of the Party and State, but also a solid support for the people and the nation.
Our army is ready to sacrifice to serve the interests of the nation, the working class and the Vietnamese people; to protect national independence, national sovereignty, to protect the Party, the State and the people, to protect the interests and peaceful life of the people. Loyalty to the Party, loyalty to the country and filial piety to the people are the basic, core qualities closely linked together in the nature and tradition of the army. Loyalty to the Party, loyalty to the country and filial piety to the people are a dialectical, unified relationship within the essential attributes of the Vietnam People's Army, which cannot be separated.
Second, history has proven that, along with the struggle of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam People's Army has made remarkable progress: From guerrilla teams, it has developed into a revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually modern army. From an army with only regular infantry, it has developed into an army with all branches and services, organized, staffed, and equipped appropriately. Under the leadership of the Party, our Army has overcome all difficulties and hardships, fought and defeated all invaders.
Our army has excellently fulfilled its role as the core force supporting the masses in carrying out the General Uprising, winning the victory in the August Revolution of 1945, participating in building and protecting the revolutionary government; as the core force, together with the entire people, fighting and winning the resistance war against the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists, leading the whole country to socialism for a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equality, and civilization. Being ready to fight and sacrifice for the interests of the nation and the people is a matter of the nature of the Vietnam People's Army, a revolutionary army, a new-style army, born from the people, fighting for the people.
Third, not only has the Vietnam People's Army successfully completed its mission of fighting against invaders, liberating and protecting the Fatherland, it is also a working army, assisting the people in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms, floods, epidemics, searching and rescuing, and is a shock force in carrying out noble international missions. With the function of a fighting army, a working army, a production labor army, in addition to the task of training and combat readiness, in recent years, the Army has always been active and proactive in promoting its role as the main and core force in preventing and combating natural disasters, epidemics, responding to and handling incidents and searching and rescuing. The Army forces stationed throughout the regions of the Fatherland always uphold a sense of responsibility, high determination, ready to overcome all difficulties and dangers to help compatriots and comrades.
Reality has proven that during epidemics or storms, floods, landslides, when the sea is rough, big waves or when disasters such as explosions, forest fires, collapsed structures, chemical leaks, oil spills, etc. occur, the Army always plays a core role, being present in time in difficult, complicated, dangerous places, helping people evacuate, reinforce houses, harvest rice and crops, reinforce dikes, search for missing people, treat injured people, transport, distribute, support food, drinking water, necessities, rebuild houses, schools, medical facilities, repair infrastructure, examine and treat diseases, disinfect the environment, prevent and control epidemics, stabilize life, restore production, etc. The image of Army officers and soldiers in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods in recent times has further contributed to beautifying the tradition and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people and international friends. economy, adding to the glorious tradition of the Army "Serving the people", "Forgetting oneself for the people".
The Vietnam People's Army has not committed any acts of aggression against any country or nation. The fact that Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts helped the Cambodian people escape genocide and helped the Lao revolution in the struggle for national liberation is a concrete manifestation of the pure and loyal international spirit. Throughout history, the tradition of solidarity in combat between the Vietnam People's Army and the Lao Revolutionary Army and the Cambodian Army has been an important factor contributing to the victory of each country's revolution. That relationship exists objectively and has been diligently cultivated by many generations of Vietnamese, Lao and Cambodian people. It is also a loyal and pure international relationship and the embodiment of true patriotism.
Fourth, the glorious history of the past 80 years with profound lessons is a solid foundation to affirm: No matter the circumstances, our Army always firmly maintains and upholds the nature of a revolutionary army, worthy of being a political force, a loyal and trustworthy fighting force of the Party, State and people. Let me ask, if the army only needs to be "loyal and protect the people", "protect the country and national interests", does not need to be loyal, does not need to be under the leadership of any political force or party, then what nature does that army have, whose? Or does it "have no nature", "no politics"? This is a trick to deceive the nature, but those who put forward anti-government arguments also fully understand that the army must have a political nature and must serve someone, be loyal to someone. The mission of the Army is to protect the Fatherland and the people, but only an army of the people, by the people and for the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam like the Vietnam People's Army can fulfill that duty in the true sense. Loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the State, the regime and the people is a unified, inseparable entity.
