Vaksindo Vietnam representative said that Vaksindo Vietnam veterinary vaccine factory started construction in April 2022 on an area of ​​over 20,000m2, designed with 2 floors, expected to expand in the future. As a GMP-WHO certified vaccine factory, Vaksindo Vietnam applies advanced technology to produce veterinary vaccine products that meet international standards.

Once operational, the Vaksindo Vietnam plant will operate five production lines covering an area of ​​9,000 square meters, focusing on cell vaccines, egg vaccines and bacterial vaccines. The plant’s main products are designed to meet the vaccine needs of pigs, cattle and poultry.

Mr. Teguh Yodiantara Prajitno - CEO of Vaksindo said that since 2010, Vaksindo has become an important partner of the Indonesian government and participated in many projects related to FAO/OFFLU in Southeast Asia.

“We remain steadfast in our determination to develop region-specific solutions to address pandemic challenges, and to export vaccine solutions from our vaccine manufacturing facilities in Indonesia. And from this year, from Vaksindo’s state-of-the-art vaccine manufacturing plant in Hung Yen , Vietnam,” said Teguh Yodiantara Prajitno.

“We have come a long way to realize our dream of building a state-of-the-art Vaksindo vaccine factory in Hung Yen, Vietnam. This advanced vaccine production facility primarily serves the goal of ensuring disease safety for Vietnam’s livestock and poultry farming system, contributing to the sustainable development of the livestock industry. Furthermore, Vaksindo Vietnam is also a platform for us to join hands with other countries in controlling diseases in the region and enhancing ASEAN’s self-reliance,” added Vaksindo CEO.

Present at the event, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that currently, domestic production of vaccines for livestock that meet GMP standards only meets about 70% of demand. In that context, the inauguration of the Vaksindo Vietnam vaccine factory is an important event. The Deputy Minister expects that Vaksindo Vietnam will soon launch products that meet domestic demand and move towards export; especially focusing on researching vaccines that Vietnam currently has to import.

Also at the inauguration ceremony, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi emphasized his wish for the two countries to continue to cooperate more deeply in the field of animal health, in order to minimize outbreaks and predict future epidemics.
