HCM City artists excitedly participate in parade celebrating 50 years of national reunification

From noon on April 25, a bustling, solemn and emotional atmosphere enveloped Le Duan Avenue (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), where the preliminary rehearsal of the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification took place.

In recent days, artists in Ho Chi Minh City have expressed their excitement and pride in participating in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Artists from many fields were excited at the parade rehearsal.

"Being part of the historic parade, we bring with us the pride of art and the nation. We are deeply grateful for the solidarity and unity of the entire people and artists towards the great national celebration. From here, we will add strength to the team of artists in Ho Chi Minh City to be steadfast, creative and reach for achievements in the new era of the country" - People's Artist Kim Xuan said.

In front of the Zoo gate, artists gathered and lined up in neat rows, all sharing joy and jubilation, preparing to enter the parade ranks.

In the colorful and enthusiastic parade, the HCM City artists' group stood out with an image that was both splendid and sincere - carrying the voice of culture, art and the indomitable spirit of a civilized, modern and affectionate city.

Singer Phuong Thanh said that the artists were chosen as one of the symbolic parade groups, so there were enough artists from Ho Chi Minh City in many fields, from veteran artists to young artists who were present very early, in traditional costumes, ao dai, stage uniforms, transforming into artistic images associated with the country's history.

People's Artist Thoại Miêu emotionally shared: "I have experienced many historical milestones of the country, but today, in the moment of walking with generations of artists on the beloved Le Duan Avenue, even though it is just a rehearsal, my heart is still as excited as the first time. 50 years of reunification is 50 years of working in peace. Being able to walk among the crowd today is an incomparable honor. I am a citizen of the city named after Uncle Ho, was admitted to the Party and worked at Tran Huu Trang Theater for more than 40 years until my retirement. This happiness is hard to find again because every 50 years there is only one day to march in sacred honor."

For folk artists, artists of traditional opera, reformed opera, drama, circus, magic, music and dance, the parade is not only a solemn ritual, but also an opportunity for them to pay tribute to the past, affirm the present and fuel the future.

Singer Quoc Dai shared: "I went with the group of artists and singers in the joy of joining in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. This is our way of continuing the mission of preserving the soul of Vietnamese history and the spirit of creating works praising the heroic spirit of the nation."

Among the parade, many young artists participated for the first time in such a historic event. They could not hide their excitement and pride when wearing the traditional stage costumes, carrying the cultural symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. All were seriously practicing to prepare for the official parade on the historic April 30th.
