Literature and art have the power to purify the soul and cultivate noble moral values. Recognizing this role, Yen Bai province has paid special attention to and created favorable conditions for the literary and artistic community to develop their strengths and contribute to the province's development. Yen Bai has approved strategic projects and plans to improve the quality of creative activities, promotion, and dissemination of literature and art in each stage, with many solutions aimed at promoting the strong, comprehensive, and synchronized development of literature and art, worthy of the province's overall development; and has issued incentive schemes and reward policies…

Yen Bai is also the only locality in the country with three parallel literary and artistic publications, including: Yen Bai Literature and Arts Magazine, Yen Bai Highland Literature and Arts (bilingual), and Yen Bai Literature and Arts website, bringing Yen Bai's literature and arts closer, faster, and more multifaceted to readers, better fulfilling the task of propaganda and the people's need for cultural and spiritual enjoyment.

In addition, the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations has actively organized and facilitated the participation of its members in creative activities, training courses, and the promotion of literary and artistic works in line with the province's overall development. Over the past 15 years, the Association has organized more than 110 art exhibitions and photography events serving the province's major political objectives; successfully hosted three regional art photography festivals in the northern mountainous region; two international exchange exhibitions in the province; 43 literary and artistic creation competitions; 32 creative camps in various localities within the province; and collaborated with central and other provincial specialized associations to organize 19 comprehensive creative camps covering various disciplines in provinces and cities...

In particular, in 2024, the Association coordinated the participation of artists from Yen Bai province in the 31st Seoul International Art Exhibition in South Korea.

Anh Tuan Vu, a photographer belonging to the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, shared: "When attending creative workshops and following experienced photographers, I realized many things, especially about technical issues. Furthermore, sharing my passion with people on the same wavelength made me even more passionate about photography. From that, I created many new and valuable works that reflect the spirit of the times while still preserving traditional beauty, making them appealing and enduring in the hearts of the public."

Over 50 years of dedicated efforts in creating arts and culture, in addition to provincial competitions and awards, the Association's officials and members have also won numerous high-ranking awards at regional and higher-level competitions, festivals, exhibitions, and contests. Specifically, from 2019 to 2025, officials and members of the Provincial Association of Arts and Culture have won 110 awards, including: 17 international awards, 69 central government awards, 4 industry awards, and 20 regional awards.

Several literary and artistic works have won high awards in national and international competitions, leaving a deep impression on the public. Notable examples include poet Dương Soái with his work "To You at the End of the Red River"; writer Hà Lâm Kỳ with his novel "The Red Bow"; writer Hoàng Thế Sinh with his novel "The Money Ghost"; and author Hoàng Thị Hạnh with her song "Song on the Waves"...

Through their works, VNS (Vietnamese National Artists) have fostered patriotism, love for humanity, tolerance, courage, and resilience. They also condemn evil and wrongdoing, contributing to shaping positive character and lifestyles for each individual. They meticulously research, explore, and incorporate traditional beauty into their works, from folk songs and proverbs to folk music, traditional costumes, and architecture. Stories of maternal love, brotherhood, community spirit, and heroic epics about noble sacrifices are endless sources of inspiration, nurturing the soul and encouraging individuals to live more responsibly towards the community.

Despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, adequate investment and practical policies have promptly encouraged the province's cultural and artistic staff to continue contributing and creating, proving themselves worthy "soldiers" on the cultural and artistic front. Like a green sapling nurtured and cultivated in fertile soil, Yen Bai's culture and arts have budded and blossomed into vibrant flowers, enriching the spiritual lives of the people.
