Over the years, the team of artists and writers (VNS) of Yen Bai province has continuously researched, explored, and distilled the cultural values ​​and fine traditions of the nation to create tens of thousands of spiritual products that breathe life.

Literature and art have the power to purify the soul and foster noble moral values. Clearly identifying that role, Yen Bai province has paid special attention to and created conditions for the VNS team to promote their strengths and contribute to the development of the province. Yen Bai has approved projects and strategic plans to improve the quality of creative activities, promote and disseminate literature and art in each stage with many solutions to promote the development of literature and art in a strong, comprehensive and synchronous manner, worthy of the overall development of the province; promulgating preferential treatment and reward policies...

Yen Bai is also the only locality in the country that has 3 parallel literature and arts publications, including: Yen Bai Literature and Arts Magazine, Yen Bai bilingual highland literature and arts, and Yen Bai electronic literature and arts page, bringing Yen Bai literature and arts closer, faster, and more multi-dimensionally to readers, better meeting the propaganda task and the people's need to enjoy spiritual culture.

Along with that, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts also actively organizes and creates conditions for members to participate in creative activities, training courses, improve the quality and promote literary and artistic works in line with the general development of the province. In the past 15 years, the Association has organized more than 110 exhibitions of paintings and art photos to serve the major political tasks of the province; successfully hosted and organized 3 art photography festivals in the Northern mountainous region; 2 international exchange exhibitions in the province; 43 literary and artistic creation competitions; 32 creative camps in localities in the province and coordinated with central professional associations and neighboring provinces to organize 19 creative camps synthesizing specialties in provinces and cities...

In particular, in 2024, the Association coordinated to organize for Yen Bai province painters to participate in the 31st Seoul Korea International Fine Arts Exhibition in Korea.

Mr. Tuan Vu - a photographer from the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts shared: "When attending creative camps, following experienced photographers, I realized many things, especially about technical issues. Moreover, sharing my passion with people on the same frequency, I became more passionate about photography. Since then, I have had many new valuable works, with a breath of the times but still retaining traditional beauty, attractive and living in the hearts of the public."

50 years of striving to create literature and arts, in addition to provincial competitions and awards, the Association's officials and members have also achieved many high awards when participating in awards, festivals, exhibitions, and competitions from the regional level and above. From 2019 to 2025 alone, the officials and members of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts have won 110 awards, including: 17 international awards, 69 central awards, 4 industry awards, and 20 regional awards.

Some literary and artistic works have won high prizes in domestic and international competitions, leaving a deep impression on the public. Among them, the most prominent are poet Duong Soai with the work "Sending you at the end of the Red River"; writer Ha Lam Ky with the novel "Red Bow"; writer Hoang The Sinh with the novel "Ma Tien"; author Hoang Thi Hanh with the song "Bai ca tren song ca"...

Through their works, VNS has multiplied patriotism, love for humanity, tolerance, courage and the spirit of overcoming difficulties. They also condemn evil and bad things, contributing to shaping the personality and positive lifestyle of each individual. They have painstakingly researched, exploited and incorporated into their works traditional beauty from folk songs, proverbs, folk music, traditional costumes to architecture. Stories about maternal love, brotherly love, village love, or heroic songs about noble sacrifice are all endless sources of inspiration, nurturing the soul and encouraging each person to live more responsibly towards the community.

Despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the appropriate investment attention and practical policies have promptly encouraged and motivated the VNS team of the province to continue to contribute and be creative, worthy of being "soldiers" on the cultural and artistic front. Like green seedlings planted and cultivated on good soil, Yen Bai's arts and culture have budded and blossomed into brilliant flowers, increasingly enriching the spiritual life of the people.
