On a brilliant evening at Thien Truong, Nam Dinh officially became the new king of V.League 2024/25. It was not only the first championship after many years of waiting but also the crystallization of a spectacular journey of rebirth. Striker Nguyen Van Toan - one of the key factors of the squad this season - shared his emotional thoughts after the match.

“Really, the team has changed a lot compared to last year. The playing style has improved significantly, no longer depending on inspiration but instead on tight organization, higher discipline in both defense and attack,” Van Toan said, his eyes sparkling with pride.

Nam Dinh’s victory did not come by chance or by a moment of individual brilliance. According to Van Toan, this was the result of the whole team: “Each person made important contributions. No one stood out more than anyone else. This was the achievement of the whole team.”

Many people look at the 7-8 point gap that Nam Dinh created compared to the rest of the rankings to conclude that the championship is easy. But the reality is not like that. "At the end of the season, Hanoi FC broke away very strongly, making every match tense and pressured. If we were not brave, we could have completely lost the advantage," Van Toan shared.

For Van Toan personally, this season has been a challenging journey. Consecutive injuries have prevented him from contributing as much as expected. “This year, I have been injured too many times. To be able to touch this trophy, I must send my deep thanks to my teammates - those who have always fought tirelessly and are ready to make up for my absence.”

Not long ago, Nam Dinh had their first time participating in the continental playground - AFC Champions League Two. It was a valuable experience, although not really perfect.

“There were matches where we played well, but there were also matches where we did not perform as expected. Anyway, the whole team achieved the set goals, and most importantly, learned many things. I believe that with those lessons, next season Nam Dinh will step into the continental arena with a new mindset, even aiming to win all tournaments they participate in.”

The 2024/25 V.League championship is not only a historic milestone for Nam Dinh, but also a strong affirmation that the Southern team is no longer a phenomenon, but a real force. They have identity, depth, ambition - and now have achievements to prove it.

From a team that once struggled to stay in the league, Nam Dinh now talks about the throne and the dream of conquering the continent. They not only thrilled fans with victories, but also inspired confidence, change and the desire to reach new heights.

Xuan Son joked 'unlike anyone else' on the day Nam Dinh lifted the cup. Striker Nguyen Xuan Son appeared very relaxed while preparing with his teammates at Nam Dinh Club to receive the V.League championship trophy for the 2024/25 season.
