Echoing Uncle Ho's words in my heart

Uncle Ho's feelings, deep concern and advice always resonate and are engraved in the hearts of every Vinh Phuc citizen. They are the beacon that guides and lights the way, the driving force that motivates cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province to promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties and challenges to build Vinh Phuc to become increasingly rich and prosperous.

During his lifetime, although he was very busy with many tasks of the Party, State and Government, President Ho Chi Minh always cared about and spent a lot of time visiting people, cadres, workers and soldiers in all regions.

Vinh Phuc was honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit 8 times: On May 19, 1955, Uncle Ho visited the construction site of Tam Dao resort; on February 12, 1956 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Uncle Ho visited and wished a happy new year to the people of Yen Dinh village, Tan Phong commune, Binh Xuyen district; on March 30, 1958, Uncle Ho visited the cadres and members of Lai Son Agricultural Cooperative, Cong Hoa commune, Tam Duong district (now Dong Tam ward, Vinh Yen city); on December 24, 1958, Uncle Ho visited Phuc Yen town; on January 25, 1961, Uncle Ho visited Lac Trung village, Binh Duong commune, Vinh Tuong district, where there were outstanding achievements in the tree planting movement; on March 2, 1963, Uncle Ho visited the Party Committee and people of the province for their outstanding achievements in fighting drought and ensuring the success of the 1963 winter-spring crop; On July 16, 1963, Uncle Ho returned to speak at the 3rd Provincial Party Congress; on July 27, 1968, Uncle Ho made a working trip to Tam Dao.

In addition to the times Uncle Ho visited and kindly instructed, the Party Committee and people of Vinh Phuc also received many letters of praise or commendation in the press from him whenever the province achieved outstanding achievements in production and combat, such as the letter sent to the elders, dignitaries and all the people of Phuc Yen province (old) who had achievements in participating in the resistance war for national construction, on July 16, 1947; the letter of praise for the Thuong Village Cooperative, Tuan Chinh Commune, Vinh Tuong District for achieving high rice productivity, on March 2, 1966...

Every place and every countryside where he set foot left unforgettable memories; his love, deep concern, and thoughtful advice are invaluable assets and spiritual values that have always been engraved, cherished, and preserved by the Party Committee, government, and people of Vinh Phuc through generations.

In particular, during his visit on March 2, 1963, during a solemn rally with the participation of nearly 20,000 compatriots, Uncle Ho advised: "We must make Vinh Phuc one of the richest and most prosperous provinces in the North of our country", and "Every party member must be exemplary, those who are not exemplary must try to become exemplary to be worthy of being a party member. All party members in the province must be exemplary, making the 560,000 people in the province imbued with the spirit of mastery, diligence and thrift in building the country".

Having devoted his entire life to the country and the people, before passing away, Uncle Ho left the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army his sacred Testament. This is an invaluable document, a “compass” for the Vietnamese people on the path to realizing his final wish: “Our entire Party and people unite and strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam and make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause.”

61 years of implementing Uncle Ho's instructions when visiting Vinh Phuc and 55 years of implementing his sacred Testament, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, and achieved many important and comprehensive achievements in all fields.

From a purely agricultural province, Vinh Phuc has become a locality with a positive economic structure shift towards industrialization and modernization. Total budget revenue in the province in 2023 reached more than 31,200 billion VND, domestic revenue is among the 8 highest localities in the country.

In the first 6 months of the year, the province's budget revenue reached more than 15,500 billion VND, an increase of 3.8% over the same period. The province's socio-economic infrastructure has received investment in a synchronous and modern direction; many important roads of the province have been built and upgraded, creating a seamless connection with the national transport system.

The rural appearance of Vinh Phuc has improved a lot with 100% of communes in the area recognized as meeting new rural standards (NTM) and continuing to maintain NTM standards according to regulations for the period 2021 - 2025; 34 communes recognized as meeting advanced NTM standards; 2 communes recognized as meeting model NTM standards; 2 districts (Yen Lac, Binh Xuyen) recognized as meeting NTM standards; 2 cities (Vinh Yen, Phuc Yen) recognized as completing the task of building NTM.

With the viewpoint that "All people enjoy the fruits of development", Vinh Phuc proposes many specific solutions to improve income, welfare, material and spiritual life for the people.

Vinh Phuc's income and living standards in 2023 are all in the top 10 provinces and cities with the best indicators in the country; the quality of education and training continues to affirm its leading position with 2 consecutive years of ranking first nationwide in the high school graduation exam (2023 and 2024); the work of protecting and taking care of people's health has made much progress; the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.61%...

Keeping in mind Uncle Ho's teachings, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, and self-improvement, creating a breakthrough and new momentum to build Vinh Phuc to become increasingly rich and prosperous, making worthy contributions to the cause of building, developing and protecting the Fatherland, building the country "more dignified and more beautiful" according to his will.
