The Vietnamese team participating in the AIMO 2025 international finals in Japan has 22 students, the most outstanding faces who have passed the domestic rounds.
As a result, the students completed the exam with excellence, with 100% of the members winning prizes, including 1 championship, 10 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. This is considered an unprecedented achievement of the Vietnamese team participating in the AIMO exam.
Among them, Phan Thanh Huy, a 12th grade math student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, won the championship.

Sharing at the program to welcome and honor the Vietnamese team participating in the international finals of the Asian Mathematical Olympiad 2025 organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, Phan Thanh Huy said that he entered the AIMO 2025 exam with a quite comfortable mindset because he had participated in many math playgrounds.
However, the biggest difference this time is that representing Vietnamese students makes me feel a bit pressured, but also realizes more responsibility and determination.

AIMO 2025 took place from August 3 to 5 with the participation of more than 3,100 candidates from 21 countries and territories. The exam was organized by Hoa Hoc Tro Newspaper (under Tien Phong Newspaper) in collaboration with Tien Phong Joint Stock Company with 2 domestic rounds to select students to compete internationally.
The national final round of the AIMO 2025 competition took place in Hanoi on July 6 with the participation of more than 600 students, from which the 22 best students were selected to compete internationally.
Vietnam has participated in AIMO since 2019 and has won more than 200 international medals.
