The Asian Mind Games (also known as the Asian Mind Games) was held for the first time in Singapore and took place from November 13 to 15. There were 5 competitions taking place at this congress, including chess, Chinese chess, Go, bridge and Rubik's cube.
The rapid chess event ended on the afternoon of November 14, with all three top positions belonging to Chinese players. Among them, 17-year-old player Meng Fanrui created a big surprise when he defeated Lai Li Huynh and won the gold medal.
The loss to Manh Phồn Duye caused Lai Ly Huynh to drop to 4th place in the overall rapid chess rankings.
This morning (November 15), the tournament continues with blitz chess, with matches spread out from morning to afternoon and will end on the same day.
Although still considered a typical representative of Vietnam, Lai Ly Huynh is not good at blitz chess.
According to the Vietnamese chess community, Ha Van Tien - a 28-year-old player - is the "flag bearer" to compete with the powerful Chinese players.

And indeed, after the first three games that took place in the morning, Ha Van Tien was the only Vietnamese player to maintain a perfect winning record - thereby earning all 6 points. He opened his impressive day with a convincing victory over Vuong Tue Thuy of Singapore.
Meanwhile, Lai Ly Huynh had to share points with his compatriot Nguyen Minh Nhat Quang in round 1, and is temporarily falling behind in the championship race.
Tied with Ha Van Tien after 3 rounds - none other than the reigning rapid chess champion Manh Phon Due. The Chinese player also easily won the first 3 rounds to earn all 6 points.
The remaining rounds will take place this afternoon, with the highly anticipated confrontation between Ha Van Tien and Manh Phon Due.
