For many reasons, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, the flow of tourists from China to the Central region has stagnated. For a long time, with the determination of the tourism industry and airlines, the Chinese market has been continuously promoted to bring tourists back.
A representative of a travel agency in Da Nang said that Chinese tourists spend a lot, especially on food and shopping. For the tourism industry, this is an attractive market to exploit.
"There are also opinions that guests are noisy and litter, but I think this is not a big problem. Each type of guest has its own characteristics, guests from some countries are even more "annoying".

"We have waited for more than 5 years"
As a major source of tourists, the decline in Chinese tourists over the past 5 years has changed the tourism picture of Da Nang quite a bit. Service establishments have had to arrange and calculate promotions in other markets to fill the gap.
The opportunity for Chinese tourists to grow again began last October when China Southern Airlines - an airline with 330 flights to 40 countries around the world - resumed the Shenzhen - Da Nang route.
