Comrade Le Ngoc Quang has been appointed as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

At the ceremony, Politburo member, Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Organization Department Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, Central Committee member and Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, replacing Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, who was recently appointed as Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung emphasized that Comrade Le Ngoc Quang is a well-trained cadre who has held various positions in central and local agencies. The Politburo assessed him as a capable cadre in Party building work, decisive, deeply involved at the grassroots level, and capable of uniting and mobilizing people in his workplaces. In all the positions he held, he always performed his duties well, making important contributions to the development of his agencies and localities. During his time as Secretary of the former Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee and the current Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, he demonstrated enthusiasm and determination to develop the localities, earning the trust of the collective and the local community.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung requested the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, and all levels and sectors within the city's Party organization, to promote the spirit of solidarity, support, and cooperation to help Comrade Le Ngoc Quang fulfill the tasks entrusted to him by the Politburo, with the goal of resolutely leading Da Nang city to strong development in the coming period.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, in his capacity as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, will build upon the achievements of the heroic Quang Nam region, as accomplished by his predecessors, with the ultimate goal of building a civilized, modern city with a high quality of life and becoming a growth pole of Vietnam. The immediate task is to closely follow the directives of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the General Secretary, especially the Resolution of the recent City Party Congress, to resolutely and diligently achieve the set goals. The city needs to immediately implement the Action Program to put the resolution into practice; focus on leading and organizing the effective operation of the two-tiered local government apparatus; and, together with the Party committees directly under the Central Committee, prepare well for the 14th National Congress of the Party, and meticulously prepare for the elections of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term…

The new Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Le Ngoc Quang, pledged that in his new position he will quickly study and understand the practical realities, constantly learn, train, and strive, always upholding a sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment to the common good, for the development of the city and the happy lives of the people of Da Nang.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang affirmed: Da Nang is a major center for economy, culture, science and technology, education, national defense and security in the Central region and the whole country, a gateway for international trade and a place where the strong aspirations for national development converge. The recent First Party Congress of the city opened a new phase of development with the goal of building Da Nang into a modern, ecological, smart, livable city, a center for innovation, high-tech industry, high-quality tourism and services, aiming for international stature.

Based on that foundation, the City Party Secretary, along with the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and the City Party Committee's Standing Board, will focus on leading, directing, and effectively implementing the Resolution of the First City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, in conjunction with concretizing and effectively utilizing the resolutions, mechanisms, and specific policies that the Central Government has allocated to Da Nang. At the same time, inheriting and promoting the glorious traditions and valuable achievements and experiences of previous leaders, they will continue to build a truly clean, strong, united, and cohesive Party Committee, innovate leadership methods, improve governance capacity and operational efficiency, promote democracy, and inspire a spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility to realize the city's development aspirations.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Central Committee, ministries and departments, and Military Region 5 will continue to pay attention to, direct, support, and create favorable conditions for Da Nang to further develop its potential and advantages, affirming its role as a driving force for development in the region and the whole country.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang was born on January 21, 1974, in Thanh Hoa province; his qualifications include advanced political theory and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. During his career, Comrade Le Ngoc Quang served as the Director General of Vietnam Television. The Politburo issued Decision No. 1626-QD/TW on October 25, 2024, assigning and appointing Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, a member of the Central Committee of the Party and Director General of Vietnam Television, to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and as Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. On June 23, 2025, the Politburo issued a decision appointing Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party and former Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, as the new Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, following the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. On October 5, 2025, the Politburo appointed Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to continue serving as Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
