Couples at a mass wedding ceremony in Dong Nai received gifts and blessings from the Organizing Committee.

According to the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Union, the 12 couples participating in the mass wedding ceremony are all migrant workers who came to Dong Nai to work. They had registered their marriages but had not been able to hold a wedding ceremony due to financial difficulties. The couples had always cherished the dream of having a formal wedding ceremony in front of their relatives and friends. The couples received support including wedding photography, wedding attire, makeup, and wedding flowers. The Dong Nai Provincial Labor Union covered all wedding expenses; sponsoring organizations donated wedding rings, traditional Vietnamese dresses (áo dài), etc.

At the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom also participated in a lucky draw, as a blessing from the Organizing Committee and partners to the newlyweds. The couples were very happy and excited to welcome relatives and family from their hometowns to attend the mass wedding, a solemn and memorable traditional wedding.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh, an employee of Grand Gain Footwear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Dong Xoai 2 Industrial Park, Dong Xoai Ward, Dong Nai Province), and her husband, Mr. Bui Thanh Danh, were deeply moved as they shared their story.

According to Ms. Thanh, the two have been together for over 16 years, and like many others, they once dreamed of having a complete, happy, and fulfilling wedding. However, due to difficult circumstances, her father passed away early, and her elderly mother single-handedly raised four young children. Aware of her family's situation, she didn't want to add to her mother's burden, and organizing a wedding like everyone else seemed too far-fetched.

Ms. Thanh and her husband only asked permission from both families to live together without holding a wedding ceremony. After 16 years of marriage, they have two children and have overcome many difficulties in life together. “I never thought I would get to wear a wedding dress, or exchange rings with my husband in front of family and friends. Thanks to the care and support of the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union, my dream from 16 years ago has finally come true,” Ms. Thanh shared emotionally.

Speaking at the wedding ceremony, Ms. Do Hong Van, member of the Presidium and Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , expressed her emotion at attending the meaningful and humane collective wedding ceremony of 12 couples of union members and workers in Dong Nai province. She also extended her blessings to the 12 couples and their families, wishing them a truly fulfilling, emotional, and memorable day in their lives.

According to Ms. Do Hong Van, over the years, the Vietnam Trade Union organization has always paid deep attention to the material and spiritual lives of its members and workers. Besides protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, trade unions at all levels have also strived to bring about programs rich in humanistic values, supporting workers to have more confidence, motivation, and commitment. The mass wedding ceremony is one of the typical activities demonstrating this spirit.

This is not only a wedding ceremony preserving the traditional values of the Vietnamese people, but also an act of sharing and support that the trade union organization offers to couples in difficult circumstances, helping each worker clearly feel the care and companionship of the trade union organization at important milestones in their lives.
