Not only applying VietGAP standards in honey beekeeping, Vinh Hoa Green Agricultural Products Cooperative also strives to build the Ru Linh honey brand, develop and expand distribution channels for traditional local products.

The family of Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Hamlet 4, Don Due village, Vinh Hoa commune is one of the households raising bees with a large number in Vinh Hoa commune. Mr. Hung said: His family has had a long tradition of raising bees. However, since 2019, his family has applied the improved method of raising bees using beehives, helping to increase honey productivity.

Through talking with Mr. Hung, we learned that beekeeping requires little investment, does not require human resources, and brings in relatively stable income. However, beekeeping also requires meticulous techniques in each stage.

Currently, Vinh Hoa Green Agricultural Cooperative is gradually building its brand and expanding the market for local honey products. Over the time of operation, the Cooperative has linked up to consume products for people in the commune, earning a revenue of 1 billion VND/year.

The cooperative has successfully registered the Ru Linh honey product trademark, with labels and traceability stamps. Ru Linh honey has also been recognized as a VietGap standard product in 2022, a 3-star OCOP product in 2023.

Ru Linh pure honey products are raised in the direction of letting bees collect nectar from natural flowers according to the season, the honey exploitation time is from March to August every year. After exploitation, the honey is processed through a water-lowering machine system. The product is produced completely naturally, pure, has high nutritional content, so it is very popular in the market.
