Ancient and romantic beauty

As the capital, largest city, and one of the nine cantons of the Republic of Austria, Vienna is second to none in Europe in terms of its ancient charm and splendor. Vienna is a blend of romance and nostalgia; it is the classical music capital of Europe and the birthplace of the musical genius Mozart.

One of Vienna's most interesting places is Schonbrunn Palace, built in the 1600s. With its classic Central European design, featuring a large lake and iconic statue in front, Schonbrunn Palace also boasts a park within its grounds. Entering the park, visitors feel as if they've wandered into a labyrinth. Magnificent works of art such as the Neptune fountain and the Roman Ruin stone statue allow visitors to immerse themselves in the palace grounds during their visit.

The Hofburg Imperial Palace is also a popular "check-in" spot for tourists visiting Vienna. Built in the 13th century, it is a massive complex, primarily used during the winter months, for the rulers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire for hundreds of years.

Additionally, visitors can also spend time visiting Austria's most beautiful religious landmark, St. Stephen's Cathedral. This is also the tallest and most important cathedral in Vienna, Austria, boasting unique architecture designed in both Romanesque and Gothic styles.

The church's main spire and dome are elaborately decorated with hundreds of colorful tiles arranged to form beautiful patterns. Inside, the church contains a total of 18 altars, small chapels, and crypts. Visitors are not allowed to enter the crypts unless permitted by the priest in charge, but photographs depicting the interiors are displayed outside, allowing visitors to visualize what the crypts look like.

Besides its ancient architecture, Vienna is also famous for its modern structures, such as the 252-meter-tall Danube Tower, which has an elevator leading to a café at the top. In Vienna, coffee and pastries are very popular in cafés. Locals often refer to them as "public lounges" rather than cafés, unlike in other parts of the world . Visitors can simply buy a cup of coffee and spend hours chatting with friends and family, reading newspapers, or enjoying pastries without being bothered by waiters trying to order more. This is considered one of Vienna's cultural highlights.

A recently popular destination is the unique, "crooked" architectural complex – the Hundertwasser Houses, designed by architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Many visitors are dazzled by the sheer number of protruding and recessed elements in the architecture of the houses. Curves and straight lines combine and constantly change in color and proportion. Climbing plants covering the walls of the complex create a peaceful atmosphere.

City of Music

Musical geniuses like Mozart, Beethoven, Gluck, Haydn, Schubert, and Johann Strauss... all share the same hometown: Vienna. Therefore, Vienna is considered the city of music, known as the music capital of the world, the heart of European classical music...

Throughout the streets, visitors can enjoy wonderful, timeless melodies by Mozart or Beethoven performed by street artists. Stepping into cafes or bars, the musical atmosphere becomes even more vibrant, with melodious tunes constantly filling the air. Music is always intertwined with the lives of the people here.

The city of Vienna also boasts approximately 300 theaters and concert halls scattered throughout the city. The most famous of these is the Vienna State Opera, considered the "Center of Opera of the World." The Vienna State Opera features a Romanesque style, with its front and side chambers constructed of marble, and its interiors often display portraits of great composers and renowned artists.
