Vietnam won bronze medal at 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championship

The 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships will take place from May 9 to 15 in Jiangshan City, China.

On the first day of competition, athlete Pham Dinh Thi brought home a bronze medal for Vietnam in the women's 45 kg category.

More than 200 male and female athletes from 28 countries and territories have come to compete in the continent's top annual event. Vietnam weightlifting sent 8 members to participate, in which, in addition to the number 1 hope Nguyen Tran Anh Tuan in the men's 61 kg category, other athletes are also expected to achieve good results such as Ngo Son Dinh, Lai Gia Thanh (men's 55 kg), Tran Minh Tri (men's 67 kg), Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Quang Thi Tam, Pham Thi Hong Thanh (women's 71 kg)...

In the opening match of the opening day in the women's 45 kg category of Pham Dinh Thi, the host athlete from China, Zhao Jinhong, won the gold medal, breaking the world record. Hong Ziyu (Taiwan - China) won the silver medal.
