According to World Data Lab, in 2024, Vietnam will have 4 million more people joining the middle class and by 2030, there will be 23.2 million more people.

In the list of 9 Asian countries forecast to have the largest number of people joining the middle class by 2024, Vietnam ranks 5th, with 4 million people.

In 2024, Vietnam will have 4 million more people joining the middle class and by 2030, there will be 23.2 million more people, according to World Data Lab.

World Data Lab, a globally respected data analytics organization based in Vienna, Austria, defines the middle class as someone who spends at least $12 per day (based on 2017 purchasing power parity).

In the list of 9 Asian countries forecast to have the largest number of people joining the middle class by 2024, Vietnam ranks 5th, with 4 million people.

India is at the top (33 million), followed by China (31), Indonesia (5), Bangladesh (5). The remaining countries are Pakistan (3), Philippines (2), Thailand (1), Türkiye (1).
