
June 9 is the day of the final competition of the Vietnamese Muay Thai team. Boxer Huynh Ha Huu Hieu competed in the final match of the women's 45 kg category for the championship system, against Russian opponent Sofia Istratova. The Vietnamese boxer won with a score of 2-1 after 3 rounds (10-9, 10-9 and 9-10), thereby winning the gold medal. This is also the 3rd time in his career that Huynh Ha Huu Hieu has won a gold medal when participating in the world championships after 2019 and 2021.
The remaining gold medal belonged to Tran Thi Tuyet Anh in the women's 75 kg category of the U23 age group. The young Vietnamese female boxer won against her opponent Salama Aljneibi (United Arab Emirates - UAE) with a score of 3-0 after 3 rounds (10-9, 10-9 and 10-9).
In addition to the two gold medals mentioned above, in the combat event, the Vietnamese Muay team also won 7 silver medals thanks to the achievements of Nguyen Doan Long (63.5 kg men), Le Hoang Duc (48 kg men) in the championship system; Hoang Thi Thu (-71 kg), Bui Hai Linh (-51 kg), Nguyen Thi Chieu (-57 kg), Mai Hoang Khanh (-45 kg) in the U23 age group.
The bronze medals in the fighting category went to Ta Thi Kim Yen (-48 kg female), Nguyen Thi Hien Luong (-54 kg female), Nguyen Thi Huong (-63.5 kg female), and Duong Duc Bao (-48 kg male) in the U23 age group.
In the performance category, the Vietnamese Muay team won 1 silver medal for Hoang Dinh Manh in the U23 men's age group, along with 4 bronze medals for Le Hoang Duc, Han Thi Thuy (U23), Nguyen Thi Chieu (U23), and Nguyen Hoang Minh (U23).
At this year's tournament, the Russian team ranked first with 14 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals.
