
This is the first international relief shipment for localities in Vietnam affected by natural disasters caused by storms No. 10 (Bualoi) and No. 11 (Matmo) recently. The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention was assigned to coordinate, share information, and connect donors and local authorities of affected provinces. After receiving the shipment, it will be transferred to Bac Ninh province this morning, October 14, for local distribution to people.
In addition to the Japanese shipment, yesterday afternoon, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention also received relief goods from the Australian Government , Russia, the ASEAN Coordinating Center for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Center) and many other international organizations. The relief supplies include essential necessities, kitchenware, household items, home repairs, water filtration equipment, personal hygiene products and cash to support localities.
