
At the reception, Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi emphasized that Vietnam and Argentina have a good traditional friendship and are growing stronger. Despite the great geographical distance, the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to strengthening relations with Latin American countries, including Argentina.
In that spirit, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences requests the Embassy of Argentina in Vietnam to support and connect with Argentine agencies, research institutes and universities to enhance cooperation in bilateral research. Priority areas include society, culture, political institutions, non-traditional security, trade and business environment.
Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi said that expanding research cooperation will contribute to enhancing mutual understanding, sharing development experiences, and deepening the friendly relations between the people of Vietnam and Argentina. Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi appointed the Institute for European and American Studies as the focal point for implementing academic cooperation activities with the Argentine side.
The two sides agreed to organize the first academic seminar in December 2025, in coordination between the Institute for European and American Studies (VASS) and the Embassy of Argentina. This will be a forum for discussion on foreign policy, economic orientation and issues of mutual concern. Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi proposed to maintain this activity as an annual seminar, considering it a practical step to strengthen Vietnam - Argentina academic cooperation.
In addition, the two sides also agreed to promote cultural exchanges and expand participation in events organized by each side to enhance understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.
Thanking the President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences for taking the time to meet him, Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski highly appreciated the role of the Institute in research, policy advice and international cooperation; and affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner of Argentina in the Asia-Pacific region.
With the existing cooperation foundation and commitment from both sides, Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski believes that the relationship in the fields of research, culture and education between Vietnam and Argentina will continue to develop, bringing practical benefits to both countries.
Ambassador Marcos Antonio Bednarski said that research cooperation and expert exchange are important channels to help the two countries understand each other more deeply. The Argentine Embassy in Vietnam will continue to coordinate with Argentine institutes and universities to increase delegation exchanges, share scholars and implement specific cooperation programs.
