The Forum set a record with nearly 500 enterprises and the largest number of speakers in VietinBank 's thematic event series to date. This has shown the attraction of the Forum and the great interest of the business community. More importantly, the Forum also opens up a direction for substantive cooperation between VietinBank and enterprises, creating a foundation to enhance competitiveness in the international market.
Mr. Le Duy Hai - Deputy General Director and Director of VietinBank Ho Chi Minh City delivered the opening speech at the event.
Speaking at the opening of the Forum, a representative of VietinBank emphasized: Vietnam's import and export activities are facing both great opportunities and new challenges. The trend of shifting supply chains and trade policy adjustments from major economies - especially the United States - has forced businesses to change their approach. VietinBank hopes that through this Forum, the business community can access updated information, in-depth analysis and specific action directions; while expanding opportunities for financial and trade cooperation.
The forum includes two thematic discussion sessions with the participation of leading experts.
The first session focused on clarifying the impact of US trade and tariff policies on Vietnam's exports; at the same time, warning about risks related to origin fraud and trade defense measures, analyzing the phenomenon of "intermediate transshipment". At this session, experts made recommendations for businesses to implement measures to increase transparency in the supply chain, proactively standardize origin records; and at the same time, diversify markets to reduce dependence on a few large markets.
The second session of the Forum focused on analyzing opportunities for the manufacturing and supporting industries. Accordingly, experts extensively analyzed the wave of global capital and order shifts; this wave opens up the possibility for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the supply chains of multinational corporations. To seize this opportunity, enterprises need to increase the localization rate, promptly meet strict technical and origin standards; at the same time, build a long-term strategy to flexibly adapt to the requirements of the international market, from how to respond to trade defense investigations to product orientation when the export market changes. Along with analytical information; the Forum also proposed specific solutions for enterprises to immediately apply to their production and business activities.
Discussion sessions at the Forum attracted great attention from the business community.
The 2025 Import-Export Forum organized by VietinBank not only provided the latest information on international trade policies and trends; but also brought practical value with multi-dimensional perspectives for businesses. First of all, the Forum showed a panoramic picture of the macro economy and trade flows, helping businesses clearly position themselves. Next was in-depth analysis with specific data and evidence, providing an overview of the system and strategic vision. And most importantly, the Forum suggested action solutions from origin control, production process standardization to market diversification - practical steps to improve competitiveness.
The event attracted nearly 500 businesses to attend.
Along with the sharing of experts, VietinBank also introduced financial solutions and products and services specifically designed for import-export enterprises. This affirms the role of VietinBank not only as an event organizer; but also as a strategic partner, ready to support enterprises in implementing new business plans.
