Vietjet to receive 10 new aircraft, expand international routes

In the context of a scarce global aviation market and increasing travel demand, in the last months of 2024, Vietjet is expected to receive 10 more new-generation aircraft to meet development needs and serve people and tourists on all domestic and international routes.

“The new aircraft expected to be delivered from this month are mostly Airbus's most modern A321neo ACF aircraft,” added a Vietjet representative.

With 10 aircraft to be received from now until the end of 2024, Vietjet will continue to expand its flight network in Vietnam and internationally, with new destinations in Australia, India, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia... and beyond to meet the needs of people and tourists, bringing fun and happy flight experiences with professional and dedicated crew.

Recently, Vietjet also signed a contract to purchase 20 new generation wide-body aircraft A330neo (A330-900) from Airbus with a total value of 7.4 billion USD. People and tourists will soon be able to fly with Vietjet's new A330neo aircraft on longer, safe, comfortable and modern routes.

Vietjet is operating a fleet of more than 100 aircraft with advanced and modern aircraft generations such as: A320, A321ceo, A321neo-A321neo ACF, A330 to protect the environment, save fuel with the goal of reducing net emissions to 0 (Net Zero) by 2050.

The airline has carried 200 million passengers, including millions of first-time flyers. In the first half of 2024, Vietjet carried 13.1 million passengers, operating 70,154 safe flights.

Vietjet recorded consolidated revenue in the first half of 2024 reaching VND34,016 billion and pre-tax profit of VND1,311 billion after six months, up 15% and 433% respectively over the same period, exceeding the annual plan by 21%.

Vietjet contributed VND3,687 billion in direct and indirect taxes and fees to the budget in the first six months of 2024.
