Accordingly, the airline will focus on increasing the frequency of domestic flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Da Lat, Cam Ranh, between Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, Phu Quoc... The total number of domestic seats will reach 330,000 seats, equivalent to more than 1,700 flights, an increase of more than 19% over the same period in 2023.

The international routes with the most flights are between Vietnam and India, China, Thailand, and Australia. The total number of international seats reached more than 150,000 seats, equivalent to more than 650 flights, a slight increase compared to last year.

Vietnam Airlines recorded that key domestic tourist routes were nearly 50% full and forecasted to continue to increase rapidly in the coming time. International routes to India, China, Thailand, and Australia also achieved positive results with occupancy rates of 50-70%.

According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, ensuring the supply capacity during the peak period of National Day on September 2 is a great effort of the airline in the context of the aviation industry lacking aircraft due to the impact of manufacturers recalling engines for inspection globally.

In recent months, Vietnam Airlines has received an additional Airbus A320neo and a Boeing 787-10 to enhance its service to serve peak travel demand of passengers.

For a smooth trip, the airline recommends that passengers book tickets earlier than the expected departure date to have more flight options and increase the possibility of purchasing attractive ticket prices.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent a document to Vietnamese airlines about the operation plan during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Accordingly, in order to proactively serve the travel needs of the people, transport goods and promote tourism development as well as implement plans and tasks for passenger service during the National Day holiday on September 2, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires Vietnamese airlines to proactively coordinate with travel agencies in developing programs and plans to exploit to localities and key countries in tourism. Thereby, it aims to support, promote and enhance domestic and international tourism activities.

Airlines need to coordinate with ground service providers to develop plans to serve flights, especially flights operating at night. At the same time, support and create conditions for airlines to maintain and stabilize maximum rates and frequencies, ensuring full safety conditions and operating capacity.

Airlines are required to report on their fleet operation plans, operation needs, increased flights, and ticket sales, reservations, and seat supply on flights to/from domestic tourist destinations during the National Day holiday period (from August 30 to September 3), as well as difficulties, problems, and recommendations related to operations during this period (if any).
