(Baohatinh.vn) - Through emulation movements in humanitarian work, many typical collectives and individuals have emerged, contributing to deepening the work of the association and the Red Cross movement in Ha Tinh.

On the morning of August 14, the Provincial Red Cross Association held a conference on typical examples in the association's work and the Red Cross movement for the period 2020 - 2025 with the participation of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Red Cross Association of Ha Tinh province at all levels has effectively implemented emulation movements in humanitarian work; the content and form of emulation movements have been innovated; units have launched emulation movements from the beginning of the year associated with the allocation of specific targets for each field of work. The focus is on emulation movements contributing to building a strong association; emulation to promote social work activities and humanitarian assistance.

Many emulation movements and advanced typical models have been widely deployed with the motto "Sticking closely to the target, sticking closely to the locality, linking emulation movements with local socio -economic development programs". Typical examples include: "For the poor - leaving no one behind" movement; "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" movement, "Humanitarian Tet", the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"; "voluntary blood donation" work, "Humanitarian month", livelihood support programs to help people escape poverty sustainably...

Ms. Tran Thi Hai Viet - Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society presented a report at the conference.

In addition, emulation movements to carry out activities of public health care, community-based first aid; disaster prevention, response and support for victims affected by natural disasters; organizing voluntary blood donation activities... were also deployed to create a widespread effect. Emulation and reward work was carried out in accordance with regulations; ensuring objectivity and fairness.

The total value of humanitarian activities reached over 300 billion VND, supporting nearly 750 thousand beneficiaries. Through the emulation movements, many outstanding collectives and individuals have emerged, making important contributions to the implementation of the association's tasks, contributing to spreading profound humanitarian values to the community.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Vice Principal of Nguyen Dinh Lien High School shared good practices in implementing humanitarian activities in schools.

The conference also launched the emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030, focusing on continuing to arouse and promote the nation's tradition of humanity, promoting the emulation movement in all levels of the Red Cross to ensure practicality, effectiveness, and closeness to the socio-economic development goals of the locality; building the Provincial Red Cross Society into a strong, professional organization, playing a core role in humanitarian activities.

Chairwoman of the Red Cross Society of Ha Tinh province Le Thi Mai Hoa launched a program to support the Cuban people in Ha Tinh with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship."

At the conference, the Ha Tinh Provincial Red Cross Society awarded certificates of typical achievements to 10 collectives and 46 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Red Cross movement in the period 2020 - 2025.
