Vinh Phuc: The effectiveness of the traffic propaganda loudspeaker system in Vinh Yen City

The traffic propaganda broadcasting system in Vinh Yen City ( Vinh Phuc ) operates based on the rhythm of the traffic light system. When the traffic light is green, the loudspeaker will play instrumental music; when the light is red, the loudspeaker will broadcast information about the Road Traffic Law.

Vinh Yen City Police inspect, handle and propagate traffic participants

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Thanh - Deputy Head of Vinh Yen City Police said: To improve the effectiveness of the traffic safety year with the theme "Improving the sense of responsibility of public servants and the self-awareness of traffic participants", Vinh Yen City Police installed loudspeakers at key traffic intersections in the city.

The time for broadcasting propaganda is during peak hours of the day. In the morning, the loudspeaker broadcasts from 7am to 9am, in the afternoon from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. This broadcasting system will operate based on the rhythm of the traffic light system. When the light is green, the loudspeaker will play instrumental music; when the light is red, the loudspeaker will broadcast information about road traffic laws.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhat (45 years old), Director of a construction company in Vinh Yen City, shared: At every intersection, when I stop at a red light, I hear the inspiring voice of the announcer propagating the Road Traffic Law. Many traffic participants listen attentively while waiting for the red light. After a period of implementation, I see that people's awareness of voluntarily complying with the Traffic Law has gradually improved significantly.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Thanh added: According to the assessment of the National Traffic Safety Committee, up to 80% of the causes of traffic jams and accidents in recent times are due to the awareness of traffic participants. This reality also means that in order to reduce violations and the number of heartbreaking traffic accidents, we must further promote propaganda and build a culture of traffic participation for the people.
