Vitto Hoan My contributes to laying the foundation for the Vietnamese ceramic tile industry

(Dan Tri) - With more than 20 years of establishment and development, VTHM Group (Vitto Hoan My Group) has achieved the National Brand certificate for the second consecutive time for its high-end Vitto ceramic tile products.


The above certification is a guarantee for the reputation and position of the enterprise that has contributed to laying the foundation for the ceramic tile industry in Vietnam.

Pioneer from the early days

Since the first ceramic tiles were introduced in Vietnam in 1993, the tile manufacturing industry in our country has developed rapidly. From the late 90s to the 2000s, the ceramic tile market began to enter a period of development when the demand for construction and real estate increased.

At that time, there were very few brick factories that had grown from fired clay factories with rudimentary production tools. The founders of VTHM Group today had the ambition to build factories and large-scale production centers, invest in more modern equipment and production lines, and contribute to promoting the development of the ceramic tile industry in Vietnam.

VTHM's first factories were soon equipped with modern production lines.

The first generation of VTHM built factories in Vinh Phuc with a capacity of 2 million square meters of tiles per year, creating excitement for one of the areas considered the "capital" of the ceramic tile industry in Vietnam later.

One of them is Hoan My brick factory with the high-end brick brand Perfetto which has become a prominent name in the market for over 20 years.

In 2013, Vitto ceramic tile factory was inaugurated. Although it was established later and at a time when the construction market was very difficult (2012-2013), real estate was frozen, demand decreased by 30-40%, but with innovative and pioneering strategies, Vitto not only achieved rapid growth but also made an impression on customers as one of the brands that always lead new design trends.

Not stopping in the North, VTHM also pioneered in expanding its scale to the Central region, where there are still few brick factories due to difficulties in raw material sources, with 2 factories in Phu Loc, Hue producing ceramic tiles and auxiliary materials, creating an important bridge extending the distribution and supply chain widely to the South.

Along with the general development of the brick industry, with modern production capacity and technology, Vietnam has become the country with the 4th largest output of ceramic tiles in the world. Investing in technology - production lines, VTHM Group's factories have an annual capacity of up to 54 million m2, distributing products through a system of points of sale in 63 provinces and cities nationwide and exporting to 28 countries and territories around the world.

The trendsetting role of a national brand

In the context of fierce competition right at home with the participation of brands from India, China,... in the ceramic tile market and the acquisition and merger (M&A) of foreign construction materials enterprises, domestic tile brands are forced to affirm their reputation and quality in order to survive and continue to develop, contributing to creating a high position for Vietnamese brands.

As a long-standing enterprise with a certain position in the market, VTHM Group determines that in addition to the organization's goals, it must also maintain its role in promoting the overall development of the industry, while enhancing the brand value of Vietnam in the international arena.

The total capacity of VTHM's factories is among the top in the industry with products certified to international standards such as ISO 13006, TIS 2508 Thailand, SIRIM MS ISO 13006 Malaysia, PNS 13006 Philippines, EN 14411 Europe, capable of conquering demanding markets such as the US, UK, France, Korea, Thailand..., competing directly with many other international brands.

In addition to pioneering the application of modern equipment lines and the most advanced production technologies today, sustainable development is the long-term focus of the group, the guiding principle for specific actions such as: applying green production technology, increasing the rate of using alternative fuels such as cashew shells, pressed wood pellets for fossil coal fuel; minimizing waste, protecting the environment...

"We continuously research and improve production processes, increase the use of renewable materials with the goal of sustainable development, ensuring harmony between growth and environmental protection, contributing to increasing value and affirming the reputation of the Vietnamese national brand," the General Director of VTHM Group shared at the National Brand Certification Ceremony on November 4 in Hanoi.

With the trend of using green materials, VTHM representative said this is the right time for manufacturing enterprises to restructure products towards sustainability and environmental friendliness.
