After yesterday's recovery session, positive sentiment emerged right from the market opening. The active buying force helped industry groups compete to improve.
The seafood industry recorded a breakthrough growth when it continuously led the morning session. The most prominent were VHC, ANV, ASM, FMC, IDI, CMX. Following closely was the plastic - chemical group when most were covered in green, for example GVR, DCM, DPM, BMP, CSV, DPR, LAS and DGC increased to the ceiling.
At the end of the morning session on March 13, VN-Index increased by 13.01 points, equivalent to 1.04% to 1,258.01 points. The entire floor had 314 stocks increasing and 128 stocks decreasing. HNX-Index increased by 2.17 points to 236.2 points. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.23 points to 91 points.

In the afternoon session, demand continued to dominate, pulling the main indices up sharply, helping the VN-Index close the session at the highest price of the day. All industry groups ended the session with gains, only the Telecommunications group slightly decreased by 0.26%.
At the end of the trading session on March 13, VN-Index increased by 25.51 points, equivalent to 2.05% to 1,270.51 points. The entire floor had 433 stocks increasing, 64 stocks decreasing, and 61 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index increased by 4.17 points to 238.2 points. The entire floor had 136 stocks increasing, 40 stocks decreasing and 64 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.76 points to 91.53 points. In the VN30 basket alone, 29 stocks increased in price.
Large-cap group was the main driving force pulling the market up 30.05 points at the end of the session. Only VJC went against the trend and decreased slightly by 0.29%.
In the top 10 stocks that positively affected the market, there were 6 stocks in the banking group. Of which, VCB led the market's increase when contributing 2.2 points to the general index, followed by VPB, MBB, ACB , CTG, BID, respectively, contributing a total of 4.5 points to the VN-Index.
Following closely behind the banking group is the technology group, led by FPT , which ranked second in the market's upward momentum. The codes ELC, SRA, SGT, CMT, SRB, and HPT also ended the session positively.
The securities group continued to “fly high” when 5 codes ended the session in purple: VIX, VCI, ORS, VDS, IVS. Most of the remaining codes ended the session with good gains, only VUA reversed the trend and decreased by 4.04% but the impact was insignificant.
Foreign block transaction developments.
The total order matching value in today's session was VND29,398 billion, up 27%, of which the order matching value on the HoSE floor reached VND26,292 billion, up 26%. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND9,707 billion.
Foreign investors net sold for the second consecutive session with a value of VND 460.56 billion today, of which this group disbursed VND 2,023 billion and sold VND 2,484 billion.
The codes that were sold strongly were VNM 243 billion VND, VHM 121 billion VND, GEX 51 billion VND, VND 50 billion VND, VCB 43 billion VND, etc. On the contrary, the codes that were mainly bought were MWG 68 billion VND, DCM 42 billion VND, HPG 32 billion VND, DPM 31 billion VND, VCI 25 billion VND, etc.
