From the folklore of Tuong, more than half a century ago, General Secretary of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association Hoang Chau Ky re-staged the play "Ngheu, So, Oc, Hen" and performed it at the Vietnam Tuong Theater. The play was a hit and was adapted and performed by many other types of theater.
The play "Ngheu, So, Oc, Hen" revolves around 4 characters, named Ngheu, So, Oc and Hen, containing many elements of comedy and satire through humorous situations.

The laughter started when Oc and Mr. Ngheu went to steal from the house of the Chief So. When the blind Mr. Ngheu was arrested and the Chief So brought him to the district magistrate, and Oc brought the stolen goods to Thi Hen's house, a series of situations continued to appear...
In the play, the people are all victims of a decadent feudal society, but no one is innocent.
Master Ngheu took advantage of religion to do unscrupulous things. The character Oc went from a poor life to a hooligan and robber. Boss So is a typical example of the powerful landlord class, who specialized in exploiting the labor of farmers. Thi Hen - a woman of fragile status, oppressed by feudal society, eventually became a smuggler and swindler.
The characters: Village Chief, Teacher De, and District Official are the mandarins who bully the people, with the title of "parental mandarins".
Through the humorous and engaging performance of young artists from the Vietnam Tuong Theater, “Nghêu, Sò, Ốc, Hến” will bring the audience moments of relaxation with refreshing and profound laughter at the greed, jealousy and lust from the district magistrate to the landlords and tyrants…
