More than 80% of stocks on HoSE turned green, helping VN-Index surpass 1,100 points, market capitalization including HNX and UPCoM increased by 6.7 billion USD compared to yesterday.
VN-Index moved close to the reference from opening to early afternoon. During this time frame, investors preferred to stay on the sidelines and observe, so liquidity was lower than on November 7.
At around 1:30 p.m., active buying pressure appeared in droves, helping the HoSE index rise above the reference level. VN-Index increased continuously and surpassed the important resistance level of 1,100 points after 2 p.m. During the ATC session, the market continued to be excited, extending the upward trend. VN-Index closed above 1,113 points, about 33 points higher than the reference level.
This is the second strongest trading session since the beginning of the year, only behind the session on November 2 with an increase of nearly 36 points. The above accumulation level helps Vietnam enter the group of stock markets with the strongest increase in the world today, according to data from StockQ.
On the HoSE, nearly 82% of stocks increased in price, including 55 stocks that increased to the maximum limit with high liquidity. On the contrary, only 65 stocks decreased in price. Thanks to that, the market capitalization of Ho Chi Minh City increased by nearly VND133,450 billion (about USD5.47 billion) in just one session, currently reaching more than VND4.48 million billion. The total increase of the two exchanges HoSE, HNX and UPCoM market was USD6.71 billion.
All stock groups had industry indexes increasing. According to VNDirect, stock codes VCB, HPG, BID, FPT , and GVR were the stocks that contributed the most to the market's increase.
The stock market board has the most purple colors. A series of stocks with high liquidity closed at the ceiling price such as SSI, SHS, VIX, VND, VCI, HCM, MBS, FTS... In total, this industry has 17 stocks that increased to the limit.
Similarly, NVL, DIG, CEO, DXG, KBC, PDR, CII, HDC and TCH are real estate stocks that closed at the ceiling price. This industry also had many stocks increase by over 6% today.
HoSE liquidity increased by more than VND6,500 billion compared to yesterday, reaching nearly VND18,600 billion. Cash flow focused on real estate, securities and banking groups. Foreign investors continued to prioritize buying with a net buying power of nearly VND270 billion.
Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) recommends that investors take advantage of good uptrend sessions to realize partial profits. Investors should only increase their purchases by 10-20% for stocks available in their accounts and proactively plan short-term transactions.
