The company related to Doan Di Bang and his wife continues to be entangled in a scandal related to the recall of Hanayuki brand cosmetic products.

On May 16, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) issued a notice to suspend circulation and recall nationwide the product batch Hanayuki Sunscreen Body - box of 1 tube of 100g; on the label is written: PCB reception number: 779/24/CBMP-DN; Batch number: 0010125; NSX: 060125; HD: 050127.

This product is brought to market by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (headquartered in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City); EBC Group Company Limited (Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province).

This batch of sunscreen was brought to market by the company related to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu.

According to research, VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited was established in 2021, its main business line is wholesale of other household items.

The company also operates in many other areas, including the production of cosmetics, soaps, detergents and hygiene products, wholesale of food and beverages, retail of food, medicines, medical instruments and cosmetics in specialized stores.

VB Group is the legal entity that owns the Hanayuki cosmetics brand. On its official website, the company is distributing many lines of personal care and beauty products such as facial cleanser, sunscreen, toothpaste and cleaning solution... with prices ranging from 200,000 to 600,000 VND.

The legal representative and owner of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited is Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu (born in 1978) - singer Doan Di Bang's husband. Doan Di Bang's popularity on social networks has caused incidents related to Hanayuki products to receive special attention from consumers.

Previously, the Drug Administration also suspended the circulation and requested the destruction of a batch of Hanayuki shampoo due to poor quality. This batch of products was also distributed by VB Group.

Regarding EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company, according to the National Portal on Business Establishment, this company was renamed from EBC Group Company Limited, established in 2014. The General Director and legal representative is Ms. Do Thi Le Quyen.

The company's main line of business is the production of cosmetics, soaps, detergents, polishes and cleaning products.

After the authorities announced the recall of Hanayuki shampoo products, on May 7, the General Director of EBC Dong Nai signed a document stating that the company had conducted a general inspection, reviewed records, production processes,... to find the cause of Hanayuki Shampoo products exceeding the limits of microbiological indicators.

Regarding the ingredient 2-Phenoxyenathnol, the company said that it is a preservative allowed for use in cosmetics. However, this ingredient is not listed in the product formula table, so it will be reviewed before making a new announcement.

Regarding the incident, the company would like to "take responsibility" and apologize, and will coordinate to recall defective products according to regulations.

On online platforms, Hanayuki 300g shampoo is sold at a price of 180,000-250,000 VND/bottle. Doan Di Bang once heavily promoted this product on social networks, with ingredients introduced as natural such as soapberry, polygonum multiflorum, grapefruit essential oil, basil...

This product was introduced by Doan Di Bang on social media as a celebrity. According to public data on TikTok Shop, her channel has sold 2,413 sets of Hanayuki shampoo and conditioner.

Including Doan Di Bang's channel and other sellers, the total number of products sold was 8,330 sets. It is estimated that based on the listed price, the revenue from Hanayuki shampoo and conditioner sets on this platform reached nearly 1.96 billion VND.

Doan Di Bang and Nguyen Quoc Vu often appear on social networks with images of a luxurious life, owning many real estates and luxury cars.

In addition to VB Group, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu used to be the legal representative of VB Universal Trading and Service Company Limited and The Gioi Steak Private Enterprise. However, both of these enterprises have ceased operations.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu was introduced as a senior manager, joining the first multi-level marketing company, Aloe Trading Company Limited, in 2004. The couple also appeared at many company events during the period 2016-2017.

However, in January 2025, the National Competition Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent a document to the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally run cities regarding the expiration of the multi-level marketing registration certificate of Aloe Trading Company Limited.
