On April 3, Westcon-Comstor announced the expansion of its distribution agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), officially becoming the first authorized AWS distributor in Vietnam.
This partnership reflects the strong growth in demand for AWS services and solutions, and underscores Westcon-Comstor’s strategic role in driving the transition to cloud computing in multiple markets globally.
As an AWS Reseller Partner in the APAC region since 2013, Westcon-Comstor is currently an AWS Reseller in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Singapore. The expansion into the Vietnam market marks an important step in the effort to promote the AWS Cloud and AWS Marketplace applications in the region, helping retail partners and customers access and effectively transact with solutions from Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Westcon-Comstor will leverage its full cloud capabilities to provide comprehensive support to partners to drive success with AWS. This support includes: consulting on go-to-market strategies, guidance on accessing AWS funding programs, and technical expertise development through training programs.
As part of its AWS service portfolio, Westcon-Comstor will leverage the expertise of Rebura, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner that the company acquired in 2024. This enables partners to offer a full portfolio of AWS services to customers, including migration, modernization, and managed services. Rebura and Westcon-Comstor will partner with partners through flexible deployment models, in-depth technical guidance, and hands-on implementation support, helping partners quickly access highly recognized and market-recognized AWS capabilities.
Westcon-Comstor is also the first technology distributor in the APAC region to achieve AWS Security Competency Status, affirming deep technical capabilities and success in deploying secure cloud solutions for partners and customers on the AWS cloud.
In addition to promoting the application of AWS cloud services in Vietnam, Westcon-Comstor will also support Vietnamese partners and customers to transact directly on the AWS Marketplace platform. In the context that the commercial platforms of large cloud providers (hyperscaler marketplaces) are forecasted to reach a global scale of 85 billion USD by 2028, Westcon-Comstor considers Vietnam a promising potential market. As an AWS CPPO (Channel Partner Private Offer) partner, Westcon-Comstor supports customers to transact on AWS Marketplace with a simple purchasing process and fast processing time.
