Ho Chi Minh City launched the "Digital Literacy" movement for all citizens.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement the "Popular Digital Literacy" movement for the period 2025 - 2026, with the goal of popularizing basic digital knowledge and skills for people , especially focusing on vulnerable groups , thereby forming digital citizen capacity and promoting comprehensive digital transformation .

According to the plan, the movement aims to create equal access to digital technology and essential services, supporting people to effectively exploit digital platforms in learning, production, business and life . At the same time, enhance the role and responsibility of all levels , sectors , agencies and units in popularizing digital knowledge and skills , contributing to the development of the digital economy and digital society .

Specific targets are set : by 2025, 80% of adults will have basic knowledge of digital transformation , proficiently use smart devices, and be verified on the VNeID platform ; 100 % of high school and university students will be equipped with safe digital skills ; 80 % of employees in enterprises will have the skills to apply technology to serve production and business. By 2026 , this rate will strive to reach 100 % in all target groups .

Launching the movement "Digital literacy for the masses" in Binh Thanh ward , Ho Chi Minh City .

To implement this, the city will promote communication through the press, social networks , KOLs; organize " Digital Learning Festival for All"; build a program to popularize digital skills , including training in artificial intelligence ( AI) applied in life ; deploy the open online learning platform " Digital Education for All" built by the Ministry of Public Security and integrated with VNeID .

At the same time , the City also deployed the " Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Application " to all cadres , civil servants , public employees and citizens ; organized training courses on " Digital Literacy " to guide skills in using online public services, reflecting and making recommendations , looking up administrative, medical and educational information .

In addition, many community learning models will be deployed such as " Digital Family ", "Digital Ambassador ", " Morning Coffee - Digital Skills Exchange ", "Digital Market ", "Each Citizen - A Digital Identity ", to spread the spirit of "each person knows a little - progress together ".
