“Tax risk management when doing business on e-commerce and digital technology platforms”

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course, Mr. Giang A Doan - Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Business Support and Financial Services, said: In the context of strong digital business development, e-commerce opens up many new opportunities for businesses and individuals. However, along with that, tax risks are increasing due to changes in legal policies, management mechanisms and compliance requirements from tax authorities.

The course aims to support businesses in proactively preventing risks, complying with legal regulations and improving tax management capacity in e-commerce activities. In addition, it provides an overview of tax risk management related to value added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax, etc.; analyzes the characteristics and challenges in e-commerce tax management; updates new tax regulations and policies that need attention.

After 2 days, students will be guided to identify errors in declaration, reporting, settlement, as well as avoid tax risks when doing business on e-commerce platforms; at the same time, improve their skills in applying technology to optimize tax obligations. Through real-life situations and experiences from doing business on e-commerce platforms, students can effectively apply them in practice, contributing to sustainable business development.
