Local media reported that Andres Carabali, Carabali's 23-year-old brother, died after a shooting at a Cali nightclub while he was DJing there at 1 a.m. yesterday.
Following the incident of the Colombian player's sister, the Colombian Football Federation has issued a statement that the festivities welcoming the national team back from Australia will still take place as scheduled today despite the above incident.
The country's football federation added that Carabali had thanked her teammates for their support following her brother's death, but she left open the possibility of attending team celebrations.

At the 2023 Women's World Cup, Carabali was one of Colombia's mainstays as the team advanced to the quarter-finals before being defeated 2-1 by England.
