Dai Phuoc Commune strengthens inspection and ensures traffic safety at Phuoc Khanh ferry terminal

Phuoc Khanh Commune People's Committee said that it has just coordinated with relevant departments and units to organize an inspection team to ensure safety of inland waterway traffic at Phuoc Khanh ferry terminal during the rainy and stormy season, which poses many potential risks to safety when participating in waterway traffic.

The inspection team worked with the owner of Phuoc Khanh ferry terminal and checked documents related to the ferry terminal's operations.

During the inspection, the delegation focused on reminding and requiring the wharf owners and vehicle operators to strictly comply with technical regulations, fully equip themselves with life jackets and fire extinguishers; absolutely not carry more people or vehicles than prescribed and must strictly comply with the rules when crossing the ferry to ensure passenger safety.
At the same time, the Dai Phuoc Commune Police force also worked with households living and doing business around the ferry terminal area. The main content focused on mobilizing, propagating and signing commitments not to encroach on the roadway and sidewalk; not to display goods and materials that obstruct the way; to maintain hygiene, order and civilized landscape. The business households have complied with the commitments, contributing with the local government to build a safe and convenient traffic environment.
This inspection, propaganda and commitment signing activity is not only a preventive measure to limit the risk of accidents, but also has a long-term orientation, raising people's awareness in complying with traffic laws. Thereby, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order, urban order, preserving the beauty of Phuoc Khanh ferry area, creating conditions for people to feel secure in traveling, living, trading goods and promoting socio -economic development in the area.
