Due to prolonged heavy rain, Cay Sung and Lang Nhot reservoirs released water, in Dien Tho commune, many areas were partially flooded: Sai Me pass (Cam Son village), National Highway 27C underpass, Asia quarry (Le Thanh village), Huong Lo 62, Sung Bau Dung road (Phuoc Luong village), spillway of Cay Sung and Lang Nhot villages. The People's Committee of the commune has arranged forces to be on duty 24/7 at flooded areas, not allowing people to pass through to ensure safety of life. At the same time, it directed schools in the area to let students take 3 days off (November 17, 18 and 19); regularly announce on the local radio about the water level of Cai River, the regulation situation of Cay Sung and Lang Nhot reservoirs to inform people, and take timely response measures.

The Commune People's Committee has also prepared forces to coordinate with villages to support households in low-lying and flooded areas to evacuate to safe places. Mr. Lai Van Tai said: "We continue to monitor weather developments and the flood discharge situation of reservoirs to direct and deploy response work to ensure timely and effective response. In particular, we are determined to evacuate assets and people in low-lying and flooded areas to safe places, avoiding damage to people and property."
