Rescue forces brought a pregnant woman in Van Ninh commune out of the flood area.
On the morning of November 20, rescue forces brought a pregnant woman in Van Ninh commune out of the flood area.

However, currently, the situation of heavy rain over a large area lasting for many days, the water flow from upstream areas is very large, the situation of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, flooding in low-lying areas is still complicated, with an increasing trend; many areas and residential areas are deeply flooded and isolated, while the flood water flows rapidly, making rescue work very difficult. The authorities are still deploying forces and means day and night to try to approach and rescue people in the affected areas.

While waiting for the authorities to arrive to support and rescue, to ensure the safety of people's lives, health and property, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police of the Provincial Police advise people to stay calm and take the following measures: Avoid places with fast-flowing water, find a safe high point for temporary shelter. If necessary, raise the roof or go to a higher house next door to take shelter. Keep your body warm, including: Wear a raincoat, put on more dry clothes, limit being cold for a long time, especially children and the elderly, people with underlying diseases...

People need to limit the use of phones, save battery to keep in touch, send location to the authorities; send distress signals: Use flashlights, phone flashlights or use objects that create sound signals such as: whistles, speakers or gongs, pots, pans...; use floating objects such as: life jackets or take advantage of floating objects such as: styrofoam boxes, plastic cans... tied to the body to support floating when the flood water is too high. Absolutely do not swim or move in flooded areas without ensuring safety conditions.

For areas that have not been deeply flooded, people should move valuables, important documents, food and provisions to high, safe places. When there is an evacuation request from the authorities, they should quickly leave the dangerous area and absolutely not return to the flooded area.
